NASHUA, N.H. and WASHINGTON, D.C. — EXPANSIA, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business and defense technology consultant, received the 2023 Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion Award today for the second year in a row. The HIRE Vets Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans. The Platinum Medallion is the highest level of recognition.
Recipients of the Platinum Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran assistance criteria such as reporting veteran hiring and retention percentages, making veteran-specific resources available, providing leadership programs for veterans, dedicating human resource efforts to veterans, and giving veterans pay compensation and tuition assistance programs.
Approximately 50% of EXPANSIA employees are veterans, and the organization was inducted into the Military Spouse Employment Partnership last month. Of the millions of businesses and nonprofit organizations across the United States EXPANSIA is one of only 300 organizations that received a Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion this year.
AJ Jarnagin, CEO and Founding Partner of EXPANSIA expressed his gratitude for receiving the award a second time.
